These bulbs are a JOKE and the government has NO business telling people how to light their homes!! Where is the talk about their danger? How about the new ones I brought home (just to do a comparison test) and they glowed a strange purple before going out just minutes later! What about the initial cost which is more than 10 times that of an incandescent bulb (which by the way DO last just as long!! I have bulbs (the normal ones) that have been in our home for more than 15 years! No Go CFLs

@Insomniariz if you overheat it for too long i suppose. but given the amount of technology and effort. i doubt it is possible.
