Harry Reid is spineless. He is not a progressive. He selected the most spineless center-right Dems to be on the Super-congress. And they will cave-in and cut Social Security.

@quizerry YoooHoo!! You got it!! Respect!!

Thank you Harry!

Anyone who supports Hairy Greed is too stupid to be allowed to vote and should probably be taken off the streets before they hurt someone !
-
@quizerry You can parrot & promote the "progressive tax system" & "largest share of tax revenue" soundbite all you want. Intelligent minds are going to FOLLOW THE MONEY! The are going to follow the nation's wealth, which are to be found with the greedy, selfish, self-absorbed & self-centered wealth-addicts
MOST of your "over spending" is on the wealth addicts! That is why they are now sitting on TRILLION$, even as THEY drove the nation's economy into the Republicon Great Recession II!

@nirbija You do know we have one of the most progressive tax systems in the world. The wealthy pay the largest share of all tax revenues. Let me ask you this do you think it is fair that last year out of 131 million returns 47 million paid no tax at all or were tax negative and got money back they didn't pay? What you don't get is that we pay more then enough taxes to run an efficient and supportive government. The problem isn't taxes it is massive over spending.

@TheSchaef47 SS is very complicated and people often fail to understand how it was set up and how it works now. There is no surplus and we will never have a surplus because and extra cash is used for other programs and projects and in its place are worthless pieces of paper. How does the government borrow from itself when it has no money?
-
You can oppose cuts all you want but if we don't do something about our debt and unfunded liabilities no one will have anything coming. If the government is broke and the dollars is worth zero we will all be poor.
Social Security is very important. What's not important is fighting these perpetual wars that cost a trillion dollars a year. Now, if these wars put us in bankruptcy, how will Social Security continue?

@teemu21 Don't know the point you are trying to make; but the facts are: The wealth-addicts are sitting on TRILLION$! & it would make good sense for BOTH themselves & their nation as a whole, if they return to the national treasures the excessive amounts of the national wealth politicians allow them
More economic confidence would be induced into the system & the wealth addicts could again go back to make their million$ & billion$
As things are going, the wealth addicts could get PITCH FORKED!
