samurai animation

just playin around with my new Cintiq monitor. This is classical animation, done on my computer using a tablet. Everything is hand drawn, no 3D, but no drawing were scanned.

Straight ahead, didnt use key frames....And I did what your never supposed to do and animated without knowing what the character was going to do...just kinda winged it a drawing at a time.

I admit it....I have absolutely no idea how to hold a samauri sword, nor did I research it. Essentially I farted and this animation came out. Definately not the smartest way to animate...but it was really fun, and quick. (Don Bluth? come on now! but thanks)

This animation is very lovely! I hope to animate this well one day. I must say it looks like he's swinging a baseball bat rather than a samurai sword. But either way, the animation itself is great!

I love it! Plus I think animating straight ahead adds something special to movement like this. You rock!
