  • _ I Beethoven wrote this when I was perturbed over a receipt at the tavern. I had been over-charged for a beer. I had then walked home and forgot to feed my horse the next day because I forgot. I had been perplexed in thought over the lady over-charging me that night. I composed this movement in tribute to her big bottom that pollutes the taverns here in vienna.

  • I just love this version.. Too bad that I could't find any available to download at Amazon.. Is this recording from an album?

  • He changed the melodic figure at 1:05. Though, I don't disagree with this, as it's obvious Beethoven wanted to write this, but because his keyboard only went up to that high F, he had to modify it.

  • Interestingly Richter and the exuberant Ingrid Flitter adopt pretty well identical tempi.

  • Ahh - Beethoven and Richter! What a combination!

  • Is this the version from Prague? Compare with the one I have uploaded from 1992, when he was an old man - - -
