Part 3 CROWDS

Background:

Prior to Arts Beats And Eats 2010, the festival manager jon witz had an anti-gun contract amendment added in to the agreement with the city (Royal Oak MI) to ban the carrying, and possession of ALL firearms within the "festival zone" even though the "festival grounds" included public streets, and sidewalks, and private homes, and businesses. All who happened to live, or work in the festival zone, and all who attended would have been stripped of there fundamental constitutional civil right to own, posses, and carry a gun. This contract position violated both the US, and Michigan constitutions, and Michigan's Firearms Preemption law which prohibits any local unit government to enact stricter "gun control" than the state. A dedicated group of patriots protested, and got the illegal contract provision removed. However jon witz preceded to threaten Royal Oak that he wanted the entire "festival grounds to be declared an "open carry alcohol zone" despite Royal Oaks own city ordinance banning just that, and if they didn't give him what he wanted he would take the festival to another city, so Royal Oak gave him what he wanted, the MLCC (Michigan Liqueur Control Commission) then simply rubber stamped Royal Oaks approval, but deliberately waited, and passed it at the last possible minute so it couldn't be protested, this despite the liqueur license violating at least 2 state laws (no Alcohol consumed on public streets, and no minors admitted), and they admitted that they neither reviewed, or even read the relevant laws, and simply rubber stamped it, it was also done in a closed door meeting which also violates Michigan law. The result was that anyone without a CPL (AKA CCW) was completely stripped of there firearms rights if they merely happened to live, or work in the "festival zone", or wanted to visit. As a show of solidarity to those affected, and as a big personal screw you to jon witz, Oakland County Commissioner L brooks patterson, and there ilk, I open carried a Glock 22, along with 4 spare magazines (92 extra rounds total) through the festival.
