WE NEED 2 MAKE SURE that DEVELOPMENT isnt just code 4 finding new ways 2 gentrify neighborhoods & displace existing residents!! Wsup wit sum actual development & resources?!?! Like afterschool programs, rec centers, clinics, etc!! Not just spending the City's money on gentrifying n shit 4da new fagot hipsters & yuppies comin in. Cuz 2dem "the Mission" is just a trend (especially wen dat first bullet goes hru their window) but 4da families we forced out yet in2 anther crime ridden hood 1nce again

I grew up hustling on 24th and mission, even though i'm not Latin they excepted me cause I was down for them. I fought right along side of them, and got busted along side of them..... damn if my dad didn't move us out, i would've died gang bangin with my homeys!!!!!

I went to the mission about 8 years ago when I was 18. I stayed with a lady named Marritsa on the main drag. The neighborhood was in the midst of change and it was a really cool time to be there as it was not too trendy yet, but was not as dangerous as it once was. I will never forget it.
