The "hard sell" is an ineffective sales technique; you will lose the sale and the possibility of future sales. If you think your problem is that you're not as assertive as you need to be, you are wrong. We've all been approached by the overzealous salesperson. Pushing back is an instinctive response. Even if you succeed in getting a customer or client with the "hard sell" technique, you will not like that business relationship. None of us like to be pressured.
