Asbestos Awareness by Ralph Bennett

My name is Ralph Bennett from Ralph Bennett Health & Safety Management Ltd. What I have come across this week is that so many people (its quite amazing) are unaware of Regulations that came in, in 2006. They are unaware of the content of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations. In particular regulation 10, which makes it a duty on every employer, regardless of whether they work with Asbestos or not, if they can identify that their employees may discover unexpectedly or completely accidentally Asbestos Containing Materials during their normal working activities, their employers should be giving asbestos awareness training to all of their employees. In particular I am talking to Joiners, Pipe Fitters, Telephone Engineers and all similar trades. Its crazy that people are still unaware that they have to give their employees asbestos awareness training and to follow it up in twelve months time with a refresher course. Its amazing, what do you think?
