Problem with recording a DV sound it's that the car makes significant boost under load (that is, the car is actually moving) than throttling it while in neutral.
People are right about not distinguishing between before and after, since the short ram cone filter is the one producing 90% of the noise no matter what DV you have installed.
Tip: Keep the DV (no enginge codes) and install a short ram filter.

I am showing this video to my friend now and I realized I forgot to say that I'm trying to figure out where the diverter valve is on my 2009 jetta gli (TSI engine in my car) if you happen to know please tell me asap.

This is the make 4 right? I just bought a make 5 jetta GLI in may 2010. (i'm the 1st title holder) I have a neuspeed intake like you and have chipped my car w/ unitronic stage 1+. (as well as wheels and tires)

Sounds better revving at high rpms. I didnt really record any of that....

sounds the same to me. i had an R1 DV but it sounded like stock so i sold it and bought my friends HyperBoost valve when he sold his jetta and it too sounds the same, untill i chipped it. now my 05 jetta gli sounds atmospheric abouve 10psi...

Once you r near the car in real life it sounds dramatically different. It wasn't atmospheric before and now its half. And yeah i had a bad mic
