After new Education Peace Corps Volunteers were sworn in at the U.S. Ambassador's residence in Fajara, new volunteers Katie Hofstetter & Stephen St. John delivered an address in Mandinka, translated into English. Sitting on the dais behind them are Embassy PolEcon Officer Tashawna Bethea, Peace Corps Education Program Manager Linda Murgatroyd, U.S. Ambassador Barry Wells, UNICEF Country Rep Min-Whee Kang, and Gambian Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Fatou Lamin Faye. This clip contains only a segment of a ten-minute speech, which was received with great delight by the assembled audience of local dignitaries, Peace Corps volunteers, and Peace Corps staff.
