Sunrise, Memorial Day 1998, I received the call that my mother had passed away. This video, images put to song, "Sand and Water" by Beth Neilson Chapman, is a tribute to our relationship and her life. I have faith she has found the peace she so valiantly earned as I see her... in the light... of a thousand suns.

My aunt went through it when she had cancer, she told the state worker do I have to be on the morgue slab to get the damn check? She did end up getting it about 6 mo b4 she died. My other aunt got hers for about 1 mo before she died after drs messed up her surgery. And another aunt got hers but than was denied because she got married, she had to fight them 4 it. The gov sucks!

Memorial day used to mean cookouts and a day off from school. This was before my cousin's plane was shot down in Iraq last month. Thanks for posting this video. You are a true patriot. If you want to, check out some of my videos. Thanks Again!

Thanks for your comment. Interesting about my mothers death is that... she was fighting with the federal government because they wouldn't give her social security after having a lung removed... and she was forced into comprimised care where they ended her life due to neglegence. She was awarded her benefits three days after she died. She was brave like your cousin, who died fighting for what he believed in, regardless, may we all realize our beliefs
