Antichrist Movie Trailer

This October, we'll all get a lot closer to Lars Von Trier than we probably ever wanted to. In horror movies circles, the name Lars Von Trier is one to conjure with. Having a reputation for being both visionary and unadulterated wackjob, Von Trier's work is almost uniformly...weird.

Antichrist will prove to be no different. After the death of their young son, a couple flees to their cabin in the woods. Hoping to mend their broken hearts and equally broken marriage, they discover that there is a lot more waiting for them in the woods than a chance of healing. Check out the trailer.

Take a moment and a good deep breath. What you just saw there might be one of the most powerfully made trailers you've seen lately. But power corrupts. I love artists that can produce something they'd like to want to and produce it as pure elitist bullshit. Porn is fine but it belongs on the porn shelf, not on my TV screen by accident when I'm having a DVD night with my mother. That has happened. The awkward silence just before the point where you've both started to realise someone needs to press the off switch but you're not sure it's not just you being overly prudish yet. Grrr.

bad bad movie. i HATE when people say something is awesome just coz no one understands it. sure, he movie has some pretty nice and artistic slow motion shots, but other then that ... i agree with godlessheathen on the take some ppl have on this movie. to paraphrase a great man .. "even if someone vomits in the middle of Carnegie hall there will ALWAYS be ppl who will consider that art".

This movie was not good at all. Everyone that says it has some deep meaning or is beautiful are just pretentious and try to make themselves feel smart by finding meaning that isn't there. A few biblical references don't count as deep meaning. The graphic nature doesn't bother me at all but the screenplay just isn't good. I would have more respect for the movie if it just called itself porn instead of trying to be something it is not.
