Dr. Judith Stacey, Professor of Sociology at New York University, discusses the research on children raised by gay and lesbian parents. She also explains the way her research has been distorted by James Dobson and Focus on the Family, as well as other groups that oppose equal rights for gay and lesbian people and their families. These clips are taken from a 2005 Soulforce video entitled "Dear Dr. Dobson: An Open Video Letter to Focus on the Family."
