  • Acutally the Lansky sharpening system is one of the best out there, but if you are slightly thick or a liitle mentally challenged, dont buy one because you will end up looking like the person making this video!

  • @merthyrmafia So I didn't use all the rods and other garbage they give ya, I Just used the stones they give you.. The knife still came out razor sharp.

  • Fabio you little bastard, you were right the Warthog is actually awesome. Got mine today...

    Be safe.

  • @fredde90210 Ya Lot of people think the warthog has to be crap because it doesn't cost a lot but this knife holds it's own against knifes costing much more

  • I agree that the clamp of the Lansky is totally useless, but can y really get razor sharp edges with your method? If so it must take a lot a lot of time if the knife is very dull.

    cheers

  • @fredde90210 I've been doing it so long my way that I Can sharpen my knives to a razors edge in just a few minutes.

  • Menagerie?

If you read the directions you'd understand that the clamp and the rods are key to the Lansky system. Lansky takes the guesswork out of setting the angle of the edge.

  • @FabioCrow07770 but the way your are showing to use the stones, you are actually dulling the tip/point of the blade, thats one of the great things about the lansky systems, you cant do that, if you use it right.

  • @FabioCrow07770 but if you read the manual instead of cutting it to apart you whould know how to use it properly, i am sorry if this comes out a little hard, but you dident make it look very smart in the video. the system is a great one,and if you bought the stand aswell you whould have no problem using it. i will have mine home in a week ore so, i will post a video to show you right out of the box how easy it is.

  • I just bought the Lansky Diamond Sharpening system. Only because the knives in my collection are made from high end steel such as VG-1, VG-10 and AUS 8-6. I agree the clamp isn't the easiest to use and the rods as well. But if you actually read the instructions and take your time it works great. It put an amazing edge on my SOG Spec Elite made from VG-10 steel.

  • LMAO!! FAIL!!!

  • the key is that you have to have a brain to use this system

  • The whole point in using the Lansky system with the rods and using the correct method to sharpen the knife is to put a uniform edge and correct angle on your knife, not rub it over a stone hoping that somehow by magic it will find the right angle, look it appears to me that you should have purchased a more simple method a standard sharpening stone, because it's not difficult, but the Lansky system does require a certain amout of technical skill, which you obviously do not have,

  • Same technique with a wet stone?

  • i watched it to the end
