@itcrowdfan92 The earth is indeed not a perfect sphere. It is very slightly oblate, in other words it looks like a round ball but is actually very slightly 'flattened' (in non-technical parlance). Ostrich eggs by all accounts and measurements are ovals, and very visibly so. The earth therefore does not look like an ostrich egg, unless you're a Believer. Besides that, the translation 'ostrich egg' in the Quranic passage under discussion is sanctioned neither by tradition nor philology.

@itcrowdfan92 The Quranic verses describing the development of a human being from conception are wrong. Muhammad failed to mention the ovum. He describes how a drop of sperm is made into a clot of blood! The fundamental fact of the male gamete meeting the female gamete, the ovum, is missing.
