I thought that this was what you were aiming at, "whiteness is another place of privilege" in general society. Dylan didn't mention anything in video so I'll go ask zir opinion on the matter.

sorry it came off wrong. it's just that it's talked about sooo much lately in the trans community on lj lately (cis-privilege, etc) that i was a little overwhelmed with thinking about it this week. it's definitely a problem in our society on many levels, which is why i brought it up.

my insurance company in NY added a transgender surgery policy at the end of 2008, but they require even more than the Standards of Care do & it was getting too expensive to keep the COBRA my insurance (i turned 25 in jan).

thank you for the video, i am actually using some of the info you all r giving the community for an animation skit im doing for school. on GQ variations and privilage. as well the difference in male assighned and female assighned at birth who identify as GQ. if you have any suggestions for my skit please throw me a bone and that gose for anyone who sees this. thank you again for the video
