A student documentary by Danielle Horwich, Haide Castillo and Tracy Wiggins brings attention to the mental and emotional struggles war veterans have re-adapting to life back home. The veterans interviewed in this video describe their lives both before and after their experience with the Iraq War.

Many veterans who return from war are overcome by mental and emotional trauma. The injuries veterans incur from war - brain damage, psychological trauma and physical disability - have an enormous impact on their lives and personalities. Their problems are compounded by the feelings of misunderstanding, neglect and apathy they experience from people upon their return home. Loss of willpower, forgetfulness, anger, depression, cynicism,
suicidal tendencies, social withdrawal and reclusiveness are among the symptoms that many veterans experience after returning from war. These issues have made veterans' transition to civilian life very difficult as they struggle to recreate peace in their lives.
