So this is the reason my drawing ability seems to have disappeared since I was little. Whatever.

Unfortunately the university old cronies in their ivory towers don't want it to change because they are sitting pretty. They (deans etc.) earn a lot of money and have a lot of power where they sit. Some HE's in the UK are a form of indoctrination and debt slaving. Either you believe in their way of thinking or you get a low grade or you get kicked out. Some HE institutes have become so narrow minded in this respect that they will do ANYTHING to resist this change.

The natural conclusion is school vouchers. I can't imagine how awful school is for the mechanically minded and mathematically inclined, but putting them into pantaloons and leotards is hardly gonna make their lives any better is it?
That's effete elitism for you...
"We'll MAKE them do drama and dance"
How about just accepting that centrally planning education is a misguided view in and of itself?
Do schools kill creativity? If creativity was a person schools would be it's concentration camp! I think that young people are going through a creativity holocaust perpetrated by teachers especially ones who hate their jobs. Everyone who agrees this is a disgusting inconvenient truth give me a thumbs up. BTW I'm only twenty years old and I understand this.

Im glad I watched this!
I agree with what he has to say; students (like me) are effectively told what to do with our lives.
I find that Creativity, aspiration and indivuality are but theories in todays world, especially in my country (NZ). The world needs to be treated against its Tall Poppy Syndrome - there are different ways of living than school/college/work-wife/kid-divorce/keep-working/force-your-kids-into-the-same-pattern-die.
Aim a little higher, or in a complete different direction!
