Teens Blast Stigma and Have a Blast Doing It!
6th Annual Erika's Lighthouse Walkathon.What started as a walk around the Washburne Middle School playground has evolved into a 2-mile, fun and information filled afternoon, including walkers from as far away as Barrington, Downers Grove, Chicago, Lake Forest and Antioch. The New Trier Volunteer Center Junior Board sent a group. There was even a team of Washburne teachers! "We encourage dogs to come walk, too!," says Ginny Neuckranz, Board President and co-founder with husband Tom.
