Ma is scary cause she is so naive, even if he wasn't cheating on her he is a horrible boyfriend. He don't take care of her can't /won't support himself with a job. Constant fighting with her and staging arguments for money.

Ma needs to get her act together, get her car back, change the locks, tell the doorman not to let him up no matter what.
