@bryster7 Reading a book really helps me. After a half-dozen pages I feel drowsy. By to the time I get to a dozen or so pages I'm ready to sleep. If I'm not careful I can accidentally fall asleep with book in hand and light still on.

is there anything that helps u get to sleep faster. because i spend about 30 minutes in bed before i go to sleep

Here are some general tips
-sleep at same time every night
-get rid of all distractions in your bedroom; it should be a peaceful place
-make sure you have a good mattress
-make sure their is no noise (even low level noise interrupts your sleep and prevents you from falling into deep sleep)
-get up same time everyday (and exercise in the morning)
-no caffeine after 4pm
-no TV before bedtime
-sometimes a shower really helps.
-Stay away from sleep aids as they can be habit forming
