First Signs of Spring 2010

Spring is going to arrive here in Kingston any day. I saw the first signs of it this past week. It is coming 3 weeks earlier than last year, which is remarkable! Hope you enjoy the view, the sights and the sounds. ~ hugs, Katie

hi angie, i don't edit my photos. i just download them from the camera to my photo file and then directly upload them to windows movie maker. i agree though, the sun on the ice is very pretty! but, no editing was done.

actually, spring usually hits us the last week in march and/or the first week in april. so, this is really early for us. ... i love the word nebraska!! ... =D

Love that blue against the rich rust/pumpkin color - wow. The thawing lake is lulling and fascinating. Great job, Katie. The little emerging flowers snowdrops under the bark are so cool!

@combatoasis ... thanks jim! ... =D ... yes, isn't the deep blue and gold a wonderful combination! some of the pictures turned out really pretty! yeah! oh, and the sound the ice makes as the water kept pushing it around was really great but it was soooo windy down there i couldn't pick it up on my camera. oh well, maybe another time ... =D i love the sight of snowdrops!!
