Stephen Corti-Griffiths

Stephen first started painting around 20 years ago. He began studying a Certificate IV in Visual Arts at the QLD College of Art and regularly exhibited his work, until an accident in 2006 left Stephen with an acquired brain injury and reduced movement in his hands. This did not effect Stephen's enthusiasm or determination to paint, as he started painting again six months after his accident.

Stephen is now a prolific painter, an has developed a unique style using acrylic and oil paint to explore his concepts of people, plants and places. Stephen uses bright colours and patterning as an integral part of his work.

Stephen also enjoys experimenting with photography and a range of printing processes.

Stephen's work is currently exhibited at several venues both in Queensland and internationally and he is working toward a solo exhibition in 2009.
