its not the loan that is haram in islam, it is the interest earned on that loan that is haram..islam says that it is unjust to use money itself to earn more money, money should only be used as a medium of exchange. however, an issue brought by 69NAWAR69 tht without a loan these days you cannot buy a house. however, the answer lies with the new innovative products of islamic banks, products such as murabaha or mudharaba. you can look up the concepts and how they work on google
