FS #123; FSV 112.
Just in time for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tourney of 65, the fight song of the Grizzlies of the West. Here, it will sound very familiar in their version of the song- If anyone has heard "Stanford Jonah" from California, "White and Gold" from Georgia Tech and a fight song from the US Naval Academy, they sound very similar- though California has their claim that they were the first ones creating the song. Montana is the only school that uses this as their official and main fight song. In the case of taunting their rivals, their version does not taunt their fiercest rival, Montana State, who is also from the Big Sky Conference.
The song itself can be jazzy in some areas, but do if you listen to the band live, expect the fight song to accelerate after playing it first time through.
Hope you like it. I do not want "hoodlum" comments or copyright infringement!

  • @rayallensax Who gives a crap? It is on opposite sides of the country, most people will never hear both in person, and especially in the Big Sky Conference. GO GRIZ!

  • @kenndl i believe they are talking about the football....you know the pigskin...they used to use pig bladders to cover the ball back in the day. as the lyrics say,"the squeal of the pig will float in the air...." i don't think opponents are floating in the air unless their ghosts...but that would present a whole different issue...

    GO GRIZ!!!!! GO MONTE!!!!

  • 5 people are probably just lousy Cats fans!

  • So because GT has two fight songs you're allowed to steal White & Gold?

  • @voltilldeath We're memorizing this song now haha

  • Look forward to welcoming Griz fans to Rocky Top!!!

  • JMU DUKES!!

  • @AndyHogan14 Yup! UC Berkeley came up with this song first!

  • @krnkid08 No, California came up with it first. Cal originally played "Stanford Jonah" in 1913 and it was subsequently adopted by Montana (1914), Georgia Tech (1929, after a Cal-Ga. Tech Rose Bowl), and the Naval Academy.

  • @rayallensax Did we come with that first?
