The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald: The Legend of Grimace Island (1/4)

One day Grimace gets a mysterious letter asking for help that's supposedly from Grimace island so Ronald and friends decide to travel to the lost Grimace island. What they don't know is that the letter is a fake written by a greedy pirate woman and her second mate, and they follow them to go to Grimace island and steal their last treasure.

Why did they have to invent the character of One-Eyed Sally for this show?

Why didn't they use the classic McDonaldLand character Captain Crook as the villain here instead?
