works on all versions on sent forest closest to bottom lane. this is simply because the creep respawn square is set to the side creeps can run. so if a gap is opened in trees and there are NO CREEPS OR CORPSES OR HEROES OR WARDS OR "UNITS" in the respawn region they will respawn, even though the creeps return. axe can kill huge bunches of creeps like this at lvl 7 usually (with 2 stouts/vanguard and good hp).
works elsewhere also, i'll let you work out how :P
