Gear Review: Jet lighter

this is one of my new purchases..., a replacement jet lighter!!!-YAY-!!! i got this off of ebay for about £4 which is a bargin!
it is now broken (respirator got clogged up and i broke it when i was taking it appart) but on the bright side, when i next have a fire, i will try and remember to throw the cannister into it and video the results of a load of propane exploding!!!!

It is ridiculous how bad the silva helios is made.. I owned my helios 4 hours. Played with it just 4-5min and it's broken.. No gas coming out.. I can see the liquid.. Still no fire.. It's just a fancy looking piece of shit plastic lighter imitation..

@vectraB97 dude, if it broke that easily send it back / take it back to the shop! and if they complain about you over using it or not using it for its intended purpose, make a lot of noise and commotion about it... they will do anything to shut up an angry customer!!!

how long did this last before the respirator was clogged ?

@tjransley it probably lasted most of a year, although it did spend most of the time in the bottom of backpacks and pockets and had a LOT of use.

I returned it and got a new one that also broke after 5 min.. This time is was the spring on the cover.. Got my money back.. Maybe I just stick to using lighter-fuel and firesteel..

they are selling it for $2.78 with free shipping, Usually takes 2-3 weeks for delivery though.
