Violent and Horrifying EVP from N.Y.

Here is a classic clip from CNYGH in Oct 2007. We beleive this is a residual haunting. Beware, this clip is not for everyone. It is very violent and descretion is recomended. Caution: the recording is violent and may be too intense for some listeners.

On that weekend in January, CNYGH founder Stacey Jones and several members of the group went to the hotel on an overnight stay for what they thought would be a routine investigation. They had no idea what they were in for.

Originally built in the late 1800s, the building was in its colorful history the site of some nefarious activity, a fact that might be key to what is heard in the EVP.

On Friday night, Stacey and her group set up their equipment audio recorders, video recorders and other electronics and settled in, hoping to document some evidence for the haunting the owners had claimed. Most investigations are relatively quiet, but this night was filled with paranormal activity, including muffled voices of unknown origin, footsteps from unseen bodies and more. Members of the group I spoke with confirmed that it was the most active haunting they had personally experienced.

The real shocker came the next day. On Saturday afternoon at about 3 p.m., two female CNYGH investigators and a member of the owner's family (also a female) sat on the staircase of the hotel with a digital voice recorder, intending to capture some EVP. They chose the stairway because they had heard soft conversations and footsteps on the floor above, although no one was up there. "The EVP has not been altered in any way, except it was edited for time," Stacey says. "CNY Ghost Hunters have tried to reduce the noise, amplify and 'clean' it up, but found it difficult to make out exactly what was being said. from what i can hear its sounds like people playing pool and gun shots here and there. and definetly lots of screaming. you guys should have not talked you would have picked up a conversation. trust me i lived in a haunted apartment building and could hear talking at 3:30 i the moring

The group that recorded this didn't know these sounds were happening until they played back the tape! Basically they were having a discussion on the steps not hearing anything strange,

My dogs went completely nuts as soon as this began to play. Creepy one seems like a door squeeking open and a few unexplained things. Is any part of this the investigators? What portion is the evp and what portion is the investigators talking through? Thanks.

At 1:00 you hear a some kind of unreal clock chime loudly, immediately after a woman gives a short yell of fear, and something terrible laughs quite horribly. Knowing that it's alloted time to savage something has arrived. Then it finds her, and she screams out of horror, and it savages her. Another female voice is heard, saying (Blood) Then someone says (Don't disturb it) later the same woman says (Is it gone?) Horrible, it's all horrible. Someone in their personal hell awaiting final judgment.

I think I heard something like "anything awful..." and "child abuse" not sure. That woman who talks all the time sounds like a mature one. There was a man there probably the murderer, and a younger woman too.... I heard evil laughs too, well I hope it helps a bit :)

@lokks707 It's residual energy. It is that electronics can pick up things from the past that were in some ways traumatic or particular to that house/ wherever they are. Like in Virginia City at the Opera house some people can always smell cigar smoke and a woman's perfume. Its a a particular reaccuring event from the past.
