DULNAIN BRIDGE PROTEST MARCH - Brig O'Dulnain! 2007

In July, 2007, the locals of tiny Scottish Highlands village Dulnain Bridge took part in a march from Inverness-shire to Morayshire and back. The monumental achievment took place because villagers felt the village was being forgotten, after it was left of numorous tourist maps. They called the protest Brig O'Dulnain, comparing the village to Brig O'Doon, the fairytale village that appears once every 100 years.

Since the march, more has been done to put Dulnain Bridge on the map. The village's internet presence was raised with the creation of a huge wikipedia article (follow this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dulnain_...), and newspapers across Scotland published stories of the protest. It was also announced that R013 Films are to film a series of programmes around the village and put them online, making Dulnain Bridge the first village in R013 Films' 'Village Online TV' scheme.
