Duvall does a good job. He's not Layne, but Layne is dead. Had he not got all stung out on smack maybe he would still be here. nuff said. Now, shut the fuk up and enjoy the music, or throw dirt into your cd player.

I think the problem is AIC, although was made from Cantrell's idea, wad completed my Layne's vocals and that was the most distinctive part of the band. It isn't right without him, particularly when they play old stuff with DuVall.
Personally I think they should have either done a tribute act or called the band a different name and make new music that way. A lot of fans will agree that new music with Alice in Chains with Layne gone isn't right.
I have nothing against DuVall

duvall is a great singer but just my opinion for AIC his voice is a little to smooth.. it needs to be a little more rough and tough if that makes sense! just for this style of music.. but anyways hes way better than average and BGWTB is better than what i expected them to be Without Layne Staley

Saw them live, Duvall kicked ass. Obviously he can't replace layne 100%. but that was never the point and besides, what was AIC supposed to do? Never make another album? I for one am glad they found a guy who can at least help them keep producing albums and touring live.
