Security guards only paid minimum wage. They are exploited. Not paid enough for them to give a shit. WHen I was a security guard, I didn't give a shit. Why should I?

If you were so concerned and you PERSONALLY have seen this officer SLEEP EVERYDAY FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS, then why didn't you say or do anything? I will tell you why, A MINUTE OF FAME to feed your EGO. You are truly a HYPOCRITE. I guess any ATTENTION good or bad is STILL ATTENTION, you must be lonely. Sincerest Sympathy.

i just graduated my training and going for armed security maybe a brinks job,but come to find out they get the same pay?! WTF? but times are hard these days with lethal martial arts training and 40hrs on the gun range im pretty exited!

Security guards are exploited he was probably working a 16 hour day because his relief didn't show for work. they force you to work overtime when you relief doesn't show and force you to work 16 hour days because you can't leave your post without relief,let the guy sleep its a boring job with plenty of monotony if you leave a guy sitting at a desk without being allowed to read and just staring at security cameras anyone would fall asleep

Soldiers, E.M.T.s, Paramedics and SO MANY MORE Jobs DON'T PAY ENOUGH TO GIVE A SHIT ABOUT but those of us who have done these jobs do them BECAUSE THEY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE AND WHAT TO HELP OTHERS! Just because you are not making a lot of money right now doesn't mean it wont lead to a better position IF YOU DO A GREAT JOB AND STAY AWAKE Lets say you are in a Serious car accident, you are dying, wouldn't you want the Paramedic who is TRYING to save your life to give a SHIT? I'm just saying?

If you knew anything about this situation then comment you clearly know nothing of the sort.This man here was just off doing his 8 hour shift,a guard called out and he accepoetd the offer of replacing him for his shift...this wa shit during his 14th hour ast work,.Regradless yes he shouldnt have een sleeping but nevertheless he shouldnt be vilified by lies (yours of he sleeps everyday)or the video poster.

This video will not be removed. Not all NYU Officers are like this and any student (prospective or otherwise) who believes that is not smart enough to attend NYU in the first place: no one should make a judgment about an entire group of people after a 30 second video. This particular officer, however, was not having an off day. I have personally seen him sleep everyday at work for the past four years. It's a shame that he might lose his job, but he shouldn't have been sleeping.
