Gunder Holmes, Gilbert, Iowa

The Gilbert (Iowa) Community Historical Society presented a tour of homes on September 24, 2011. It was called, "If this house could talk" and included seven homes. One of the homes had been the Morgan Hotel, which had its hay day in about the 1890s. It was later bought by the Holmes family and moved to its current location at 321 Main Street. Gunder Holmes (1882-1955) is presented by Bob Jensen, member of the Gilbert Historical Society and a former teacher at the Gilbert High School.
