@MyTotalRemedy I live in northern california, where there is the highest concentration of hippies of any where in the united states. The politically active hippies I've seen have been against overtaxation and government regulations like the regulation of farming, the drug war, and human freedoms, and have been non- interventionist, and against redistribution. The few regulations many of them seem to believe in are global warming, wild life, and off shore drilling.

@alizee2010 I'd argue corporatism is leftwing by default, but I'd agree, the democrats are anything but liberal at this point.

@Swishdball I guess it must feel relieving to give up any independent thought whatsoever. If trying to defend a party and their ideology turns you into this, perhaps you need to take a step back and consider if the party is worth it.

They are going to Vote Monday Night at 1a.m. The American people will have no chance to read the final bill. This is a fraud on the American people. On of the largest pieces of legislation ever and it is being shoved through in the middle of the night. Thsi bill is a tax and spend bill. PLEAS call or fax you Senator and tell them STOP. Scrap this bill and start over. Do a bill that will actually LOWER cost not raise cost and taxes.
