  • so if i just put oyster mushrooms in coffe grounds it start to grow and such PLEASE REPLY!!!!

  • @camcamey Not so although maybe. It is the stem butt you want to culture. alternatively take a spore print by using say some black construction paper. Place the shroom down so gills are on paper/ dry. Scape spores with a knife or some such. Soak some clean cardboard in water & innoculate it. If molds don't beat out spores you will start seeing white dots appear like seeds hatching. After this it will grow quickly when it is nice & going, place in grounds paper egg cartons so forth.

  • Nice video. Does the culture smell with all that mycelium?

  • @zanpakutogr No it smells very sweet as oyster mycelium does anyway but actually makes grounds smell even sweeter. If it smells then you would have a bacteria or mold condition. Mycelium does not smell moldy! If it ever did toss it outside!

  • U must get super high off of those!

  • No, they are gourmet not magical silly. I only have subscriptions to channels featuring magic shrooms for the spore knowledge. I believe in a drug free way of life. All shrooms have huge benefit for the environment devouring toxins, making the earth to grow. Poor countries can use this method to produce food, medicines & help environment.

  • thank you for the great video. you are right about oysters liking to eat everything. we threw an apple pie in our 5 gallon bucket once, and the mycelium completely devoured it.

  • Thanks for the answer! That's quite an encouragement. When I get more space I'll try it.

  • I LOVE your website. Thanks so much for making this so simple - I think it was you who gave me the idea of growing on coffee grounds. So simple!

  • I have learned the worst is bringing in a favorite plant from outdoors, all sort of bad guys come in! The blue stick on window type also works well but not in winter. I stick it in a lower corner of south window. I also get problems with fruit flys during canning time & fall bring in everything. They feast on toilet & man are they fast.
