A song from John Prine's first album, about the first girl that ever broke his heart. "That'll make a songwriter out of you right there" he says of this song on his "Sessions at West 54th" DVD.

Tsunoyukami, of the band "Look! Centaurs..." joins me on guitar.

  • great job man...

fyi: anyone who wants to hear john prine's version of this song (maybe his best) and can't afford to pay him more (sorry john but it's lame you don't give it out for free, you think you are metallica or something?)

just google john prine far from me, you can here it on "iLike.com".

just clear your cookies to hear it again.

  • I've never been able to figure out exactly what this song is about.

  • I just Saw John Prine on April 21st, for the 6th time. and counting, also. Been listening to his music since I was 17 yrs old, I ain't saying how old I am now, but A few decades have gone by. I lost all my J.P music, after a computer crash. no back ups. this song is hard to find, but one of my favs.
