  • @MultiRory1 Politically I can agree with you and join with you in hoping for Cornish independence. My previous comment was made in haste, and I apologize for my rather harsh and ignorant tone.

My problem, however, is with how everyone unites in a dislike of the English. History has taught us that the English are descendants of the Anglo Saxons who took the land by force, and that is simply not true, we have merely lost touch with our roots.

Politics, as usual. England is not innocent there.

  • @Reachwun What we want recognised is the Duchy of Cornwall is the soil and territorial possession of the Duke of Cornwall in right of the Duchy of Cornwall not the crown of England as the Guardian has shown the Duke has the rights of a head of state and over a hundred acts of parliament have been passed so the crowns writ does not impinge on the Duchy's sovereignty because Kernow was regarded has a Celtic land separate to England and not a county of England

  • There are not many ppl on the beach , it's lovely i'd like to go there , i think ill go thre soon to visit =))

  • @avonbeg You are no more Celtic than the English are, but for some reason, the rest of the British Isles developed an irrational hatred for England, and therefore try and distance themselves from them in any way they can.

If you actually bothered to learn the history of the British Isles, you would learn that the English are no different, genetically, than their neighbours. The only difference between us, is that our Celtic culture was wiped out.

Do your research, stop trying to separate.

  • NOT WORTH BEANS

  • always remember wonderful holidays here as a young boy

  • @avonbeg ill have to buy it wen im in town, hes a campaigner for cornish traditions , gud on him i say. oh did you know that mps have second homes in st ives and they live there to, more mps living in cornwall and st ives than anywere else in the uk, makes ya think

  • @danielwormald Read Scat t' Larrups by John Angarrack

  • No i will not mock anything, i understand your conrnish traditions therefore i respect it, i would like to know more about the history of cornwall, but like your grandparents know all this as they have lived through them times i think your old traditions will die away with the up and coming future generation. we are in trouble times at the moment with our economy but its is being put right slowely, better times are around the corner, gud luck , D. Wormald

  • @danielwormald You will no doubt mock this and claim we live in the past and maybe some of us do but maybe you do not understand our celtic nature if you think that only 5% of us think this then may be you never will ..who knows? all I can do is wish you good luck with your move to Hayle. Dyw genes.
