The turboprop conversion includes a full air frame inspection and overhaul. So technically, you are buying a new aircraft, so really, the king air is more likely to break if it isn't brand new. Cheers.

@rockyPants4000 .. Sort of like choosing between a 1980's Ferrari, or a 2010 Corvette. Sure, the 'Vette is faster, but I know I would rather have the Ferrari. BTW, there is no WAY a King Air is cheaper to fix.. the operative word is "fix". Less likely to break? Absolutely. Cheaper? no.

@smoakC5 Except that it is. Turbines have much fewer parts, (Though some parts are of course quite expensive), King Air parts are more available, and there are more places that can service them.
On average a little King Air, like a C90 will be substantially easier/cheaper to maintain than an old Queen, just based on age alone. And any newer Kings have more digital avionics which are also cheaper to repair. It's why you can't even fly old Lears anymore - way too expensive to maintain.

@rockyPants4000 a king air is by no means cheaper or easier to repair.

What a beautiful airplane!!

Men, what an aircraft, know her with normal power setting of 2 x 270/2x380 hp, but that really rocks!!!

Very sexy. But of course a King Air is now newer, bigger, faster, more capable etc. and easier/cheaper to repair.
But this is kind of like a classic car, if you want to own one.
The Duke looks great with turboprop engines!! Nice Video!!!!
