Maureen is meant to be over-dramatic. She's a little diva starving for attention. I think she was great, and I love that she didn't try to copy Idina.

They let you do this musical in High School? xD

This cast's Collins really did this song good, i think.

I have You-tubed millions of these things (I'll cover you Reprsies) the only time I have cried is when I watched the Brodway version of this. You brought me to tears. Excellent job! Escellent job!

wauuw, very good!

@JustWillow8 true, but I've seen a performance of this show at a community theater with ALL high school students and they were good. Yuou make it sound like it's hard for high school, like almost impossible. This was very good, just, I'm not racist, but Collins is always better as a darker fellow

@XJDHE I really agree with you. He doesn't want to put his whole heart into it at first, but I read it as he didn't want to admit she was dead. I got it!

i just got goosebumps =]

My one problem with this is that everyone is overpowering Collins way too much, and it sounds like it's putting strain on his voice. Whoever it is that played Collins: You have given me hope on this version of the musical. You have a beautiful voice, and your portrayal of emotion in this piece is breathtaking and beautiful.
It would have been a lot better had everyone else been quieter. The dynamics are awful.
But good job on you, Collins. Major props. xoxo

This is the first I'll Cover You (reprise) that has made me cry since the Broadway and movie versions. It's such a touching scene, but I rarely see it done right with amateur productions. And you, my friend, have pulled it off. I'm crying.
Very, very, very good job.

mimi and maureen were the best
i must say that this was pretty decent for a high school. this is a hard song to sing, and they did it pretty well.
The only big issue i have is that Maureen was patting him on the back and had her arm around Mark for a second. in this song, tehy are all supposed to be in their own world, not comforting each other, Angel's death tears them apart, not brings them closer together.

Thanks, i never thought of it that way but it makes a lot of sense.

Wow great job my only sugestions are that Collins is a very confident individual and wouldn't be scared to start the song he would pour his soul from the beginning and stick to the movie a little less. You have an amazing voice but this song really streched your range, the song should be changed to fit the singer not the other way around.

This is my portrayal of Collins. I took it in a different direction. Collins is a very confident person, but I thought that he would lose his confidence without angel, making it hard for him to pour out his heart to begin with. I also wanted to emphasize the crescendo that this song is. I thought that I did it differently from the movie and the show. Nevertheless, I needed to stick to what was written to really get the crescendo across. I promise you that I could do it four shows before this one
