John Dvorak recently went on a rant about cell phones that is really funny and well done. I couldn't agree with him more on certain points. Distributed by Tubemogul.

  • I agree, its just a phone. It seems companies have gone the way of Microsoft and try to pack as many features in phones as they can without a thought of call quality, dropped calls, ect.

  • Exactly! I just want a cell phone that gives me clear calls without dropping them. And I am getting tired of all the darn media coverage of cell phones. I don't read PC World to read about iPhones....

  • I'm only sick of hearing about the iphone.

I don't mind hearing about the new Open Source Android G1 though.

I agree with the whole no dropped calls issue you brought up.

  • AMEN! I never thought I'd find myself agreeing with John Dvorak, (no problem with him - just usually find his articles un-interesting). But I AGREE with him. Cell phones are ALL the same. They're poorly functioning phones (which are frying people's brains), and they add trivial functionality that makes all the idiots come running for the next "TRENDY" toy.

  • Wow, this was really interesting. Sorry for the stupid question, but what do you mean when you say "drop calls" I have an iPhone (and am typing this message on it lol) and have made plenty of phone calls yet never encountered a "dropped call". Could you briefly explain what this means? Thanks for the video
