@thatdutchguy420 i disagree its an anti war song she gives it emotion and thats what the song is about. I was to try and stop Irishmen from joining the British army listen to the words it all about the brutality of war ironically the Americans take this song and make it a marching song.

you stole the soul this song had and gave it another. I don't like your version as much as i do the ones im familiar with. Now we could hear Johnny I hardly knew ya in a hotel lounge and I'm not sure i want that. don't get me wrong, your version is beautifull. I just feel its much too beautifull.

thanks for your comment, I wish this was my version but it isn't, I simply transcribed the Giovanni Mirabassi's one (as mentioned in the description).
I agree about the new soul, indeed I consider it more an actual re-composition than a mere arrangement.
