  • I have to agree -he seemed pretty inoffensive. Even pleasant. However the tracts he was handing out are another matter. They were Chick tracts, which are very hateful to people of many religions (including many Christians) and do in fact make a big deal out of that whole "Suffer not a Witch to live" nonsense. So I must regard that his actions were somewhat more confrontational than his words. But I was heartened to see that he refused to endorse the idea of killing Witches.

  • don't put words in his mouth, he was nice enough even if he doesn't agree with us.

  • this video was really interesting, but i gotta say i really wasn't comfortable with the tone taken to that christian man. it felt too aggressive to me, and there's no reason to attack his beliefs even if he attacks ours.

  • i couldn't get through half this video i got motion sickness.

  • I agree very much with this, considering he was not malicious in the least, also.

He also seemed a bit out of it, in my opinion.

  • I would agree that perhaps harrassing that man was in poor taste. I think it's sad that he would act out against something he doesn't understand, but from his point of view he is merely trying to help everyone. He believes we will all suffer for eternity and he's trying to save us from this percieved fate. Not that I believe it's true, but he does. I don't think we should harangue someone for showing love to others, even if that love comes from ignorance.

    Blessings to you all.

  • Just as a small update...had you done some reserach you would have found out that when the Catholic Church began to gain poltical power in Medieval Eurpoe, the council of Nicene took many old passages and phrases from the bible and also the very thing you quote is incorrect. The orginal text stated..."Thou shalt not suffer a POISENER to live..." also originally the Catholic Church excepted and sometimes even USED the practice of magick...so you need to do back track reserach first.

  • Fuck you, and your fake ass fucking bible!

  • I don't think that was right to put words in his mouth.

I even know the prejudice towards us witches is starting to wane.I wouldn't talk to someone like that especially if they pick fights with people.

  • in deutoronomy, it was actually "thou shalt not suffer a poisoner to live" but the meeting of constantine changed it due to fear and trying to rid the world of smart free-thinking women.

  • That man did not deserve that lecturing that the guy gave him. I myslef am a wiccan, but the man just just out there protesting his religion.

  • I kinda felt sorry for the old guy. I have seen videos of christians that go to pagan events and try to interview pagans... and it usually doesn't turn out all that well because the interviewers can't escape their own ethnocentric viewpoint. But I feel that to turn around and try it on someone else, whether he was asking for attention or not doesn't make us any better. I love this series "Living the Wiccan Life".
