The Geneva convention is an international treaty. It states that torture is a war crime. International treaties are the supreme law of the land. When you break an international treaty, and expect other countries to abide by them, you have a crisis on your hands that endangers the citizens of the WORLD.

This is not a pointless fight. If these aren't impeachable crimes, what is considered an impeachable offense? What did the writers of the constitution envision when they thought of the concept of impeachment? Nixon was pardoned and there were no consequences. Here we are in another needless war that was waged based on lies, maybe Presidents would think twice about marching into wars that kill tens of thousands of people if there were real consequences for their actions.

And quite honestly, we can not stop the wars, they will always be there. Darfur for example is another situation which we cannot win. Even if we send in troops, it will be another Iraq. It is sad but true.
