Just a short video of my "D" powered CC express going up during some RocStock launch. As you can hear by my dad's laughing he did not expect it to do so high (considering it was so low power). He was filming and got the launch but could not find it during decent, though I saw it the whole time.

  • I aint even usin a chute some one a mile away is gonna have a bad day lmao (;^D)

  • Hehe, my rocket actually had the chute rip out once with the nose cone. The nose cone parachuted to safety, and my rocket body literally glided down like an airplane into a perfect soft landing. Still, if you are living in a populated area and aren't flying in the middle of nowhere like I am, at least put on a streamer. Even though the nose would pop off, it could still hurt someone. If the nose doesn't pop off the rockets end up coming down faster than they go up!

  • I just got this rocket like yesterday. Im using a D-12-5 for first stage. U siad it goes really high but im scared i might lose it. U said to use a smaller parachute or a streamline in ur other comment. wat is a streamline? Well if u have any tips on how to not lose it, it would be very helpful.

  • A streamer? A streamer is usually used for light rockets, and it is really just like a thick ribbon. It will slow it down but not much, so you will probably break a fin if you use one. Still better than losing the rocket. However, I think that for the first flight you should just load her up with the maximum power and pray that you get it back. If not at least you saw one good flight! You could also write your phone number on it in case someone finds it I guess. I flew in a big empty space...

  • does anyone know of a video where the patriot is launched on four motors at once? it was in the pro series?

  • Principles? The first engine is a special engine that burns out and fires a charge that ignites the second engine.

  • hey how do u make a estes rocket with 2 stages? and what is the principles of it?

  • I just got this rocket, it looks bad on the paceket and when u get it it looks like a copuple of bog roll tubes and few bits of drift wood. Cant wait to let it rip tho looks amazin, that guys chuckle says it all (:^D)

    top vid!

  • Remember to always check that after painting. ;)

My first launch was the opposite. There was a strong wind so my rocket weathercocked into the wind at the perfect angle so that my nose cone came OFF and the parachute tore to bits. The first stage was never recovered, but I still have the rest of the rocket, though I got a new CC Express later. Well, glad you had a nice time anyways.

  • K, we flew them off yesterday, [the 16th.]

And the nosecone of the rocket didn't even come off after launching it. XD I think It was because the spray paint dribbled down into the sides, and made it sticky. I'll sand the paint off on Monday. XD

It went over some pine trees into a corn field. Luckily I had it painted a metallic silver, and I saw it shining all the way down. XD

It took only ten minutes to find it. c:
