Gingrich: Ethanol will Help America Become Energy Independent KTIV NewsChannel 4 Sioux City

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV)-- - Right now, there are only two declared Republican candidates for president. One of them, former U-S Speaker Newt Gingrich, stumped in Sioux City, Friday.

He spoke to a packed house at Eldon's Restaurant, this morning.

Gingrich told them his "number one" domestic goal is job creation. To create jobs, Gingrich says he's ready to promise not to raise taxes... and to cut capital gains to zero. But, Gingrich says America also need to become energy self-sufficient... leaning on Midwest production of ethanol. Newt Gingrich, (R) Presidential Candidate says, "If my choice is Iran, or Iowa, I prefer the money in Iowa. If my choice is Saudi Arabia, or South Dakota, I prefer the money in South Dakota."

But, in his speech to the Siouxland Republican Jewish Coalition, Gingrich also addressed an idea President Obama included in his White House speech, on Thursday. The relationship between Israel and Palestine.
