Golden State Water Slammed: Cal. Pub. Util. Commission, "Guilty of Misconduct" Meeting - 12/15/11

Article: Ojai and Ventura VIEW - July 2011 Issue #38: Golden State Water Co. (GSWC) confessed to knowingly gouging Ojai Ratepayers in a June 29, 2011 Settlement by the State Division of Water and Audits (DWA). The state agency regulates the privately held water company and perhaps the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) oversight.
The settlement cannot be appealed. The DWA found that GSWC senior management knew about violations in their own competitive bidding process which resulted in higher than normal bid costs which were then passed downstream to the ratepayers.....
