A train drives down the street at a street level crossing, people being nuts drive in front of the train missing death, at one point even a dog plays chicken with the in coming train.

  • Cool video! I have never seen a train pass in the middle of the street like this.

Look at the that kid on the bike at the 56 second mark. Is he a nut???

  • I am glad you liked the video. The kid at the 56 second mark is a nut and on this day we also saw him riding down the track without a care for the safety for himself or others, the good news is that a local officer put the kid in the back of his car and the bike in his trunk, n doubt he will be grounded. LOL

  • Who the hell is the city planner in this town? Kinda stupid.

  • There are many good reasons why there would be a crossing like this, so unless your from the area you have no basis of information to make an intelligent statement as such, please refrain from making pointless comments like this on my videos. Thank you very much!

  • That is not a street level crossing, that's what we railroad fans like to call Street Running.

  • Very well done, interesting video!

Better, if possible, would be to video from a higher position, like a roof, because with telephoto it is not possible to discern distance.

The dog "playing chicken" may have been a block or two ahead of the train. Same with drivers continuing to cross.

A higher position would reveal that.

  • Fun. Reminds me of my Amtrak train running right in the middle of the boulevard at New Iberia LA.

  • OH MY GOD. STOP THAT TRAIN!! IT RAN A RED LIGHT.

  • Viva Usa ...Viva America ...Viva Us trains..... beautiful country....

  • @francksol New Albany, Indiana, across the Ohio River from Louisville KY.

  • @mrbluenun This is my hometown. New Albany, Indiana is an old city, founded in 1813. This is the old Monon mainline. It served several industries that were located within the city. The old Monon lines also street-run in Bedford and Lafayette. I do not know when that line was laid and exactly why it street runs, but considering railroad activity in this city dates to 1847 I assume they were no too worried about horses with wagons and buggies with the crossings.

  • In America at least, you cannot drive trains. You can operate them or "run" them. But no driving them. Also, it isn't a street level crossing, it's a grade crossing. It's a level crossing if it's in Europe. Nice vid though!

  • try sleeping lessoning to that,,, lol

  • Why not just put rubber tyres on and drive anywhere lol

  • oh my god! nice rare UNPATCHED SP unit!!!!

  • cool, looks like Oakland ca & nice rare Cryo-trans reefer.
