If anything it shows us how much science really does not know about human evolution, and that the world still contains many many mysteries.

precisely, and the Homo floresiensis is just one find on one island supporting proving one culture's legends to be true. How many other islands (Britain) have similar stories which may have a basis in fact? This goes for legends of dwarves and also giants.

Now that we know the stories of the Ebu gogo and little hobbit people are true afterall, I think it's time the stories of giant people be taken seriously and the remains of giants studied and published in peer review. They have found giants in the Pacific Islands, and in Indonesia.
But officially giants don't exist.... People are in for a big surprise.
