But in the same sense I'm not really re-living the childhood that I lost. There are many stressful things I can't just ignore. @_@

Feelings can develop, but taking that chance is risky.

If you don't have feelings for him, the question you should really be asking yourself is if you WANT to take the risk of losing him as a friend if the possible relationship doesn't go well.

If you don't like your friend in the way he likes you, you really shouldn't pursue a relationship with him.

Usually in situations like this the person who is being asked is thinking they are helping their friend by saying yes.

When really they're hurting them because ultimately they are lying to them about their real feelings and in pursuing a relationship with them they think you have the same feelings and have the same intentions for the future as they do.

My ex bf told me he still only thought of me as his close friend opposed to his girl. He asked me out knowing we wouldn't make it so he put no effort. Now he wants to be friends .. but I can't look at him in the eye knowing he's going to now fool around with other girls.
