Trying to figure out the best way to eject an optical drive after you stealth it. Here's rerouting the button with a momentary switch. Still trying to figure out the best way to stealth the DVD drive though

  • why there are four "places from original eject button?

u just use two of them , ones on the circuit

    does a 0, 1 button work

  • not sure i understand your question?

  • what kind of computer is that?

  • @irek9009 he knew which to solder points to use because you can see the circuity going to those two solder points

  • Best, stealth dvd mod i found on youtube, looks awsomm

  • @supertroye hey if i cut off the switch from another cd drive and solder it to another drive do you think it will work? i'm planning to cut the buttpn from an old cd drive with a small piece of the pcb attached

  • @supertroye I think he was referring to the two places where you soldered the wires to the board. I also was curious as to how you know which two of the four soldered places were the correct ones to attach the wires.

Also, would I be able to use a switch rather than a button. So, flick the switch one way... it opens, flick it back... closed?

  • that's an old pc man :D

  • @supertroye i think he means the 4 points on the circuit board. you attach the 2 cables on 2 soldering points and leave the other two points untouched. i would also like to know how you knew which ones to use.

  • You sound like Adam Sandler LOL!

  • u can see what i mean in 1:31

u showing just two soldered points, what's up with another two.
